Tales Of Brave Ulysses

Has anybody seen this show? Numb3rs – I never could find it on television here on Guam. I’d like to check it out sometime though. Thankfully it seems like every television show ends up in Blockbuster available for rental these days.

Speaking of television, the new season of Battlestar Galactica started last Friday. I like it, I like it a lot. And not just because Grace Park is so friggin’ hot, though that certainly has something to do with it…

This Saturday marks the 60^th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, and the dawn of the atomic age. Following a story on the atomic bomb in American culture from the Christian Science Monitor, I came upon this gem of a website, full of Cold War paranoia, CONELRAD: All Things Atomic.

It’s been an interesting couple days. And not in a good way.

The island is wrapped in a blanket of nasty volcanic smog again. Due to a typhoon in the region, the winds are coming from the north, bearing ash and vog from the volcano on Anatahan. My car was dusted in ash yesterday, and again this morning. Visibility is limited, and the air has an unpleasant sulphurous odor.

Sorry for the light posting this week. Had something of a medical emergency on Tuesday night, and I’ve been feeling poorly ever since.
