I hope everybody got a chance to check out the transit of Jupiter past Venus last week. It’s been cloudy and rainy here since I returned, but there was a bit of clear skies around sunset on Friday. I watched watched I could of the celestial meet-up before the clouds closed in again.

The Messenger probe to Mercury swung by Earth last month on it’s long journey to the innermost planet. Check out this amazing video made from the probe’s images of Mother Earth as it sped away towards a rendezvous with Venus in 2006.
