This Life Gem stuff is just about the creepiest and strangest thing I’ve ever heard. Making a diamond out of your loved ones? That’s just ghastly. Especially the bit about imperfections in the carbon matrix making each gem unique.

With gas prices hitting $3.19 on island, I thought I would pass along some great tips for improving mileage:

1. Moderate driving – Quit driving like a maniac
   
2. Lower Speeds – No need to hurry
   
3. Use Cruise Control – It’s amazing how much better my mileage is using cruise control
   
4. Avoid Excessive Idling – Sitting at ITC for awhile? Turn the car off.

Using these tips I managed to add about 70-80 miles on a tank of gas. I’m not kidding. I used to get about 230 miles out of a full tank. Now I can stretch it out to 300 miles or more. Who needs a hybrid?
