Got a little scare last night when the power grid went down around 7:30. I spent the night in darkness, despairing that Guam’s power system will ever become stable. Fortunately it returned a little before 5:00 this morning, rousing me to a cacophony of electrical devices sputtering to life; television, stereo, laser printer, lights, fans, air conditioning and the many other little electrical fairies that surround our modern life.
