Blogger Doug Miller had a little excitement last weekend, when his neighbor’s house was struck by a meteorite. Sheesh, that’s gotta be an interesting claim to make with the insurance company.
GTA pulled the plug on GovGuam’s internet connection yesterday, after months of wrangling over unpaid bills from the Superior Court. Charges are flying about political payback and ‘sour grapes’ about the government’s endorsement of the DoCoMo buyout of rival Guamcell/Hafatel, but GTA insists it was just a business decision. Sounds like business as usual on Guam. The government is known for dragging their heels in payments to vendors, including other GovGuam agencies. Anybody remember the whole fiasco with unpaid power bills for streetlights?
John Hattig Jr. got the call yesterday and he’s going to the big leagues. That’s totally cool.
Hattig will join the Toronto Blue Jays in Tampa for their chase for a wildcard spot in the American League. He got the call at dinner yesterday in Syracuse, where he played Triple A ball for the Syracuse Skychiefs.
